Samedi 17 et dimanche 18 janvier les jeunes du groupe alpinisme de la FFME des Alpes de Haute Provence, on pu se perfectionner à l’escalade de cascade de glace.
C’est dans la vallée du Champsaur que cinq jeunes glaciairistes encadré par deux aspirants guides de haute montagne Didier Espier et Fabien Berrod montagne, accompagné par Pascal Deuremeux initiateur alpinisme ont pu grimper leurs premières longueurs en glace, apprendre à viser des broches à glace, s’initier à la gestuelles particulière de la grimpe avec crampons et piolets.
Cette première expérience avec la montagne hivernale a débutée par une première journée à la cacade des Martins dans la vallée de Champoléon consacrée au fondamentaux de glace. « Même si l’élément est nouveau, la grimpe en piolet devient vite instinctive, le plus difficile est finalement la pose des pieds lorsque l’on est chaussé de crampons, les sensations sont très différente de l’escalade en chausson» remarque Jean Philippe entre deux longueurs d’escalade.
Après une nuit réparatrice au gîte de la Pierre de L’Ours bien sur précédé d’un bon repas et d’une galette de roi, c’est étoile qui a eu le santon mais bon on peut la soupçonner de s’être un peu arrangée…
Le deuxième jour les trois cordées formées la veille sont parties à la découverte des cascades du Toureng. Haut de 150 mètres et offrant quelques ressauts presque verticaux cet édifice de glace et de neige permettait de mettre en pratiques les exercices de la veille : la confection de relais sur broche, le rappel, poser des protections au cours de sa progression… Pour terminer Etoile nous a fait une démonstration de pose de broches en grimpant en tête une belle longueur de glace, alors que les garçons avaient eu semble t’il suffisamment d’émotion pour la journée, et se sont contentés d’une bataille de boules de neige.
Ces jeunes dignois Guillaume Bernard, Etoile Izarar, Gaétan Isarn, Jean-Philippe Marin et Thibault Crépon, sont tous des grimpeurs de l’ASPTT Escalade. Ils pourront se former aux différentes disciplines que la montagne offre ; la cascade de glace, le ski de montagne, l’escalade et la haute montagne.
Une pratique encadrée qui permet de d’acquérir les bons réflexes, techniques et la culture montagnarde indispensable à une pratique autonome età la progression.
